Book Burn 2010, Part 1

At the end of 2009, I felt I hadn't read enough books. I made a New Year's resolution which, I'm happy to report, I have stuck to. I resolved to read more, and to help myself do that I decided to keep track of exactly what I read and when I finished it. Since the year is almost half over, I decided to share what I've read so far in 2010.

The lists of novels, short storiy collections, and non-fiction books are all alphabetical by author. The list of graphic novels is alphabetical by title.

Mick - How did you like Galapagos? I think it's one of Vonnegut's under-appreciated books. Far better than Breakfast of Champions, imo.

Actually, I remember thinking the exact same thing as I was reading it. Not necessarily in comparison to Breakfast of Champions, though it's been years since I read that. And I felt the same way about Bluebeard.

It makes me look forward to reading the other Vonnegut books I haven't gotten to yet. I think I wrongly assumed that because they didn't get the same attention as, say, Cat's Cradle or Slaughterhouse-Five, they couldn't be as good. But I would argue Galapagos is at least as impressive as either of those if not better.
